Day 30: My Proudest Day to Date
I am proud when I discovered my first passion was drawing at about eight years old. That took a back seat to writing once I turned eleven.
I am proud when I graduated from McComb High School in May 1996.
I am proud when I graduated from Magna Cum Laude from Alcorn State University in May 2000.
I am proud that my first attempt to leave prematurely back on April 1, 1997 failed miserably.
I am proud that I connected with so many wonderful people on Fireseek, International House of Poets, House of Ra, and Vocalized Ink, yet sad those organizations are no more.
I am proud to have found Yahoo 360 and to still be connected with so many great people from that arena.
I am proud of the poetry collective I presented, Soulful Branches: Simply Words, although the partnerships got destroyed by pettiness. If there is to ever be a Volume Two, it will be with different people as well as those willing to share in the expenses.
I am proud of the poetry collections I've written in the past, Spaded Truths and Private Pain, as well as the two coming out later this year.
I am proud I have come out of my hiatus and have decided to share my writings with the world and begin publishing again.
Ooh...I think I'm rambling.
Sorry, I just couldn't sum this up with one date.
Day 30, that's a wrap!
