Workout Date: Thursday, March 21, 2013
Time: 6:40pm-8:05pm
Warm Up: Leg Raises, Full Body Stretches
I was actually able to get The Sweetie to accompany me
this time around. I noticed he mainly
was on the bike, but think he did some other exercises, too.
Target Areas:
Chest:
Machine Used-Chest Press: I did 1@55
and 2@70. At first, I did want to
move up to 85 like I had been before, but I’m content if I have to stay at 70
for a little bit.
Back:
Machine Used- Lat Pulldown (fixed):
I did 1@70 and 2@85.
Side Note: Lately the free
weight one has been occupied but I will attempt to gravitate back towards there
in the future.
This side note still remains
the same. I think I will have to try it
on a weekend, like a Saturday or Sunday to be able to access it.
Shoulders:
Machine Used-Rear Deltoid:
I did 2@55 and 1@60. The 50 pound phase out seems to be going so
far, so good.
Biceps:
Biceps (no bar): I did 2@35
and 1@40. I am starting to gain a bit of
progress back, which I lost once I had gotten very sick last month.
Triceps:
Machine Used-Arm Press: I did 2@110
and 1@130. This setting is a keeper for right now.
Legs:
I opted to use two
machines: Rotary Calf and the Hip
AD-ductor.
Rotary Calf: I did 1@90, 1@110, and 1@130.
Hip Adductor: I did
1@115, 1@130, and 1@150. Next week,
I will attempt the 115 phase out. I’ll
either bump up the first set to 120 or just do 2@130.
Abdominals:
Ab Crunch (upright): occupied
Additional Machines:
Torso Rotation: I did
2@95, 2@100, and 2@110. Within the next
one to two visits, I will reattempt the 95 pound phase out.
Ab Coaster: 3 sets of 20 with 40lbs.
resistance.
Lower Back Extension: I did 1@95, 1@110, and 1@120. I decided to cut down on the 130 for now because I was feeling more discomfort than just plain old burn.
Cardio/Cool Down:
I didn’t get as far as I wanted
to on my Cardio.
Elliptical:
Interval (L2): 18 minutes + 3 minutes cool down= 21 minutes
My goal was to make 35 minutes
total on the Elliptical and finish the rest via Treadmill once I completed my
strength training.
During the time I was on the
Elliptical for the 2nd go round, I started feeling a bit shaky. Luckily, I had remembered to pack my
meter. The Sweetie noticed it, too. When I tested, I was a bit lower than was
comfortable, so I played it safe and cut my workout short.
Hopefully, this won’t be an
ongoing factor. My medications have
since been adjusted, so hopefully, it’s my body trying to get used to them.
Will keep you posted, and I
will keep on going.
Peace.

Work it out, work it out.
I guess I'm just too damned lazy to get on the machines.
