Word 2: Water
Disruption of Disaster
Tittering on the edge of disaster has become uncomfortably familiar. Laura is waiting to be pushed to the valley
of emotional death. Instead of the
shove, she feels dampness caress her back and slowly permeate into the pores of
her skin. Laura closes her eyes inhales,
losing herself in the overflow, allowing disaster’s substitute by a refreshing
alternative. She sticks out her tongue,
savoring the salt, the acidity a necessity in this journey: the digestion
serving as an excavation, the purification of the toxins which have too long
haunted her soul. When Laura opens her
eyes, the valley has disappeared.

Peace.
P.S. This was one of those where I was so tempted to go beyond the one paragraph, but I think I did a pretty good job...lol
